Release of the Yiddish Veršes Music Album

On May 30, the Yiddish Veršes album was released - a music compilation based on the poetry of Jewish authors from early 20th-century Belarus who wrote in Yiddish. The project was carried out by the Belarusian-Jewish Cultural Heritage Center in partnership with Radio Plato. Seven contemporary Belarusian artists — Palina, Tok Rukoo, KOOB, WTBSK, Syndrom Samazvanca, Лайтовы, and Anastasia Rydlevskaya — created original tracks in their own styles, ranging from dreamy dub and electronic music to art rock, indie, and rap.

The album features reimagined texts by Leyb Naydus, Moyshe Kulbak, Izi Kharik, and Avrom Reyzen, offering a fresh interpretation of a cultural heritage that has remained in the shadows for decades.

The album is available on all streaming platforms: https://bnd.lc/ydver
