Release of the VR reconstruction of the Wolpa Great Synagogue

The Great Synagogue of Wolpa, known as one of Europe's most beautiful wooden synagogues, was completely destroyed by the Nazis during World War II. Carefully recreated in virtual space by a team of curators, historians, restorers, 3D designers, and IT specialists, this impressive synagogue—with its intricate murals and architectural details—has been brought back to life digitally.

This project is a key element of the broader multimedia initiative Belarus Shtetl, which will form the foundation of the future Virtual Belarusian Jewish Museum.

The VR reconstruction is available as a VR application and in a web-based format.

More information on the project is available on our website.
