PRIVACY POLICY

BELARUSIAN-JEWISH CULTURAL HERITAGE CENTER is a non-profit organization which activities are aimed to raise awareness of the rich Belarusian Jewish culture and history and assist more comprehensive and objective presentation of the Jewish heritage of Belarus within the national and global context.

I. General
1. The Privacy Policy specifies how Users' personal data necessary to provide electronic services by the BELARUSIAN-JEWISH CULTURAL HERITAGE CENTER Foundation are collected, processed and stored.
2. The Privacy Policy is applicable to information collected, processed and stored in the course of our activities including our web-site (https://bjch.center) and Wolpa Synagogue VR Reconstruction & Tour software application (hereinafter – Application). To make it easier to read web-site and Application collectively called “Services”.
3. We only collect personal data necessary to provide and improve our Services.
4. Collected personal data are processed in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/ 46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter referred to as GDPR) and the Personal Data Protection Act of May 10, 2018.

III. Purpose of collecting personal data
1. Personal data is used for the purpose of:
- account registration and verification of the User's identity;
- enabling login to the Services;
- implementation of the contract regarding Services;
- communication with the User (livechat, contact form, etc.);
- sending the newsletter (after the User consents to receiving it);
- running a comment system;
- providing community services;
- promotion of the Administrator's offer;
- marketing, remarketing, affiliation;
- personalization of the services for Users;
- analytical and statistical activities;
- debt collection;
- establishing and pursuing claims or defending against them.
2.Providing data is voluntary, but may be necessary to conclude a contract or use certain features of the Services.

IV. Type of personal data processed
The Administrator may process the following User's personal data:
- name and surname,
- date of birth,
- residential address,
- e-mail address,
- telephone number,
- Tax Identification Number.

V. Personal data processing period
Users' personal data will be processed for the period:
- when the basis for data processing is the performance of a contract ­until the claims expire after its performance,
- when the basis for data processing is consent - until its withdrawal, and after withdrawal of consent until the limitation period for claims.
In both cases, the limitation period is 6 years, and for claims for periodic benefits and claims related to running a business - 3 years (unless a specific condition provides otherwise).

VI. Sharing personal information
1. Users' personal data may be transferred to: entities related to the Administrator, its subcontractors, entities cooperating with the Administrator, e.g. companies handling e-payments, companies providing courier/postal services, law firms.
2. Users' personal data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

VII. User Rights
1. The User has the right to:
- access the content of his/her personal data,
- rectify his/her personal data;
- delete his/her personal data;
- limit or object his/her personal data; processing,
- transfer his/her personal data;
- withdraw consent at any time,
- revocate his/her personal data;
- lodge a complaint to a supervisory authority.
2. To exercise any of above-mentioned rights sent us request using the contacts mentioned in section II.
3. Such requests are processed in accordance with applicable laws.

VIII. Cookies
1. The services may collect information using cookies - session, persistent and third-party cookies.
2. Collecting cookies supports the correct provision of services and is used for statistical purposes.
3. The user can manually specify the scope of cookies access to his device (via browser settings, device settings, etc).

IX. Automated decision-making and profiling
1. Users' data cannot be processed in an automated manner so that any decisions could be made regarding them.
2. Users' data may be profiled in order to adapt the content and personalize the offer after they express their consent.

X. Final provisions
1. We reserve the right to make changes to the Privacy Policy, but Users' rights will not be limited.
2. Information about the changes will be provided to Users by revising the date at the top of this Privacy Policy and providing additional notifications (through the Application and/or homepage of our web-site)
3. In matters not covered by this Privacy Policy, the provisions of the GDPR and Polish law apply.
